Insight: Ylocos Kannawidan Festival

Showcase of Culture and Tradition

Ilocos Sur, our very own province has rich and stunning cultures and traditions that we Ilocanos must be proud of. In order to showcase these, we have important festives just to exhibit and promote products of ours and precious cultures of Ilocanos to attract and invite tourists to come and visit Ilocos. One of these is the Kannawidan Ylocos Festival which is a week-long festive of happiness for local and foreign tourists as more entertaining events are included in the celebration.

We’ll we’re now celebrating it here in Ilocos Sur especially Vigan; branded as the Heart of Ilocandia by the Philippine Historical Committee. It’s a province very rich in culture and heritage. Kannawidan means traditions and this province got to showcase all what she has. On January 29 to February 8, 2015 several activities were lined up for the celebration. This Kannawidan Ylocos Festival aims to create awareness on the preservation of the province’ rich cultural heritage, practices and traditions, and a showcase of the different agriculture and industry products. We, Ilocanos should all be proud of with this because we are having this for tourists to appreciate our rich culture. Moreover, let us all preserve these cultures for next generations and this will serve as our trademark as an Ilocano.

It will be a fun-filled week of celebration of the Kannawidan Festival in Ilocos Sur. Come and try it for you to know!

3rd Grading Reflection

 Multifaceted

In this grading, we've learned how to make HTML files. Different tags were discussed and fully presented. We also learned to make tables and paragraph with these tags.

Then there goes our Web Design project were we've design on our own taste and ways.

Overall, my third grading was very good. It made me better on dealing with the Internet, made me understand more how websites are made. I’m looking forward on 4th grading period.

New Year New Me

Time for a Change
Someone once suggested to me that one way to make use of life experiences – good or bad- is to ask yourself: What have I learned from this? With no suggestion of guilt or judgment, it is just a call for honest reflection that could make a difference down the road. Well I am a person who searches for “the meaning” of things, so I asked myself the question and came up with five lessons that now define “the new me” and how I am living my life.
My new year’s resolution is to get better in school especially that I belong in math class. I want to pass all of my test grades, do all homework and do better in everything, such as projects, tests, homework, class work and my behavior in class.
I have to do all of these things to let my dream come true, because I am a graduating student. So, I have to focus more and try harder.

Well NEW YEAR, NEW ME – I am not changing anything physically, rather my behavior of being noisy sometimes. SOMETIMES? Okay every time. WHY? Nothing, I just want to change it that`s all. J
